  • 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed and divided
  • 100g (3.5 oz) high-quality dark chocolate, melted and cooled
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)


  1. Prepare the Pudding: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.
  2. Add Melted Chocolate: Stir in the melted and cooled dark chocolate until well combined.
  3. Fold in Cool Whip: Gently fold in 3/4 of the thawed Cool Whip into the chocolate mixture, ensuring you maintain a light and fluffy texture.
  4. Assemble the Pie:Pour the chocolate mousse mixture into the pre-made pie crust, spreading it out evenly. Refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours, or until set.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Before serving, spread the remaining Cool Whip over the top of the pie. Garnish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder, if desired.
