How to Make Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears


Take your gummy bear addiction to new heights with this chocolate-covered recipe. It’s fun, it’s delicious and it’s a unique way to spruce up your gummies at home. And I’m willing to bet the kids will love chocolate covered gummy bears.


  1. ½ bag (6 oz) milk chocolate chips
  2. ½ bag (6 oz) white chocolate chips
  3. 2 lbs gummy bears
  4. Sprinkles

Other kitchen tools you will need:

  1. Microwavable bowls
  2. Forks
  3. Wax or parchment paper
  4. Baking sheet or rectangular pan


  1. Place the milk chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl. Melt in the microwave in a 30-second interval.  Stir in between intervals until fully melted.
  2. Repeat the first step using the white chocolate chips.
  3. Pour the sprinkles into another bowl.
  4. Line the baking sheet with parchment or wax paper
  5. Dip the gummy bears one at a time and take them out using a fork.
  6. Let the excess chocolate drip off. Pass the chocolate-covered gummy bear to another fork and dip the front part into the sprinkles.
  7. Let it dry on the lined baking pan. Make sure to allow enough space between each gummy bear.
  8. If the bears are for gifts or packaging, let them dry for a day to allow them to dry and harden completely. If not, you can place them in the fridge to speed up the process. However, take note that refrigerating the gummy bears will make them sweat, so this step is only good for when you’re eating them at home.
  9. For gifts, pack the desired amount of gummy bears into a bag and seal it. For personal consumption, store in airtight containers.
  10. Enjoy!

  1. Melt the chocolates in the microwave.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate onto the lined baking pan and make it about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Spread the gummy bears on the chocolate and press them into the chocolate using a spatula.
  4. Let cool and refer to Step 8 above.
  5. Break the chocolate into smaller pieces and see Step 9 above.
